Sales Training

All organisations are sales led organisations; without sales driving progress you bite the dust.

Success in sales is a matter of attitudes, organisation and confidence. It is a virtuous circle because:
  • a positive attitude spurs on good organisational habits and creates a ring of confidence
  • good organisation underpins good client relationships and a love of the job
  • confidence with people means you are happy as with "friends" rather than uncomfortable as with customers
Effective sales training will address all these issues in a way that shows course participants who they are and what assets they already have; in doing so, they notice improvements they can make.

We definitely believe in the people element: understanding your own behavioural strategies; pinpointing the personality types of those you would do business with. Building a careful picture of their real; and perceived needs, by gentle questioning and careful listening. Creating rapport and being able to present a concept that will sell itself. Bad sales work hassles people; great sales work engages with them. We show how to raise your game in terms of relationships and attitudes.

Having the right skills makes it all so much easier: there is an art to key account management, for example, and the rewards that come from structured selling into large businesses can be tremendous. You need to be comfortable in negotiations and reassuring in your responses. Selling is an activity that responds well to the management of time and activity and the boost that comes from knowing that you are brilliantly organised.

Usually, step one is the contact skills – and fundamental skills will make a tremendous difference: e.g. canvassing, telephone manner, empathy and the ability to capture sales appointments. Far too many people are afraid of these activities and in showing their fear they become wooden and they fail. It doesn't have to be like that. Inviting your best friend to a party isn't like that, so why should inviting a potential customer to hear some useful information be such a terrible burden. We will aim to wash that burden away…

People who take these courses will change, so watch out. They will achieve more. They will contribute more. They will expect more. They will be more creative. They will want to take on greater challenges. That’s what happens when you skill people up by showing them who they really are and what they can really achieve.

And remember: we work internationally.
